Invisible warning system to prevent panic in the event of a fire
If there are people in the room, a clearly visible sign in front of the entrance reads "Caution: radiation". This sign warns all persons against actively using the laser indoors.
Not emergency light
Within the scope of this project, the renovation of the exhibition area posed a particular challenge, as the room in this historic fortress has very limited capacity. More visitors at the same time would noticeably impair its use and atmosphere. Therefore, targeted regulation of access was necessary.
The architect in charge commissioned us to implement a solution that would clearly indicate whether the maximum number of visitors had been reached when entering the exhibition space. This would make it clear from the outside when no further access was possible.
After consultation with all parties involved, a solution using pictograms was finally developed to clearly communicate the admission ban. An FSU luminaire with classic red-green signalling is used to regulate the flow of visitors. The luminaire is powered by a PLC24 emergency lighting system. The switchover of the luminaire is reliable and clear, performed by an external contact that is connected directly to the device. In this way, the maximum permitted number of people is clearly communicated and access to the exhibition space is effectively regulated.
