From idea to market readiness

Manufacturing expertise at the Linz site

Our production facility in Linz manufactures emergency lighting solutions such as emergency and safety luminaires, supply units and special solutions for railway infrastructure. Our expertise, know-how and technical resources enable us to produce our entire emergency lighting portfolio at our Linz site. High-volume orders are specifically passed on to selected manufacturing partners who share our values. These partners are equipped with our knowledge, clearly defined production processes and the necessary technical resources to maintain our uncompromising quality promise to our customers.

In Linz, the focus is on the development and manufacture of new products to market readiness, the production of small series and the implementation of individual special solutions.

Core processes

What sets our production apart

Light-directing systems

Perfect illumination is not achieved by choosing the right LED alone. The decisive factor is the interaction between the LED, LED circuit board and diffuser, which are coordinated and optimised to ensure a longer service life, lower energy consumption and illumination that complies with standards. Our experts know the requirements in detail and tailor machines and processes precisely to them. All processes are carried out entirely in-house and are not outsourced to external partners. This ensures that quality is built into the development process and that our quality promise to our customers is consistently implemented at every step of the process.

Highly functional luminaire series

Certain lighting ranges place particularly high technical demands on production. There is no room for tolerance here; every step must be precise. To meet these requirements, we create the best possible conditions in our production facilities. This includes different working environments such as a clean room, extensive machinery and specialised processes such as ultrasonic welding technology. Our experts work with great care and in-depth expertise. Regular training, continuous checks and external audits ensure that we maintain these high standards at all times. This enables us to precisely implement even the most demanding processes internally.

Luminaires for tunnel applications

The requirements of railway and transport infrastructure are complex and demand precise manufacturing. Our work begins with a detailed analysis of the respective conditions. Based on this, we develop special solutions that are precisely tailored to the area of application in terms of both function and type. We control and monitor the entire manufacturing process from development and production to final inspection. Emergency and safety lighting for tunnels, emergency exits, stations and rescue areas is thus produced entirely from a single source, with every step of the process meeting the highest quality standards.

Individual solutions

Our development department for special solutions and our production department efficiently implement tailor-made products, even for complex requirements, starting from a batch size of 1. The manufacturing concept shapes the entire process: the experience, precision and craftsmanship of our employees ensure that every product meets high quality requirements and, thanks to close coordination with research and development, is also 100% compliant with standards.

Worauf wir bei unseren Partnern wert legen

Regionality

In order to be able to respond flexibly to requirements and minimise dependencies on global market fluctuations, we select our suppliers regionally wherever possible.

Quality

We make no compromises when it comes to quality. The highest standards, which meet all development requirements, form the basis for sustainable success.

Economic efficiency

We take care to make our prices competitive while ensuring consistently high product quality.

Growth

We work with partners who value open communication and mutual knowledge sharing in order to learn from each other and grow together.

Values

A shared understanding of values and knowledge of the “why” strengthen cooperation and create joint successes.

Social responsibility

Appreciation for our employees is a central scale for us, including in the selection of our suppliers.

Sustainability

Together with our partners, we optimise route planning, production control and energy use to make processes more efficient and sustainable.

Responsibility arises from cooperation

Our partnerships

55%

our suppliers are located in Austria.

36%

our suppliers are located in Germany.

6%

are spread across other European countries

3%

are spread across the rest of the world (Asia, USA)

When manufacturing our products, we work exclusively with partners who share our values and quality standards. We focus on long-term, trusting relationships based on equality. Following the ‘onion model’, we prefer to establish regional supply chains, followed by Europe-wide ones. Audits, quality checks and open communication ensure that our standards are maintained at all times.

Tested quality

Don't fix failures, prevent them

Ensuring quality

Testing processes

Our testing processes are based on the poka-yoke principle: failures are detected at an early stage so that they cannot even reach the delivery stage. In addition to the standardised, dynamic AQL testing procedure, we also develop our own testing systems that are optimally tailored to our manufacturing process. This means that failures can be virtually eliminated.

Set goals

Quality planning

Quality standards, testing methods and tolerance limits are defined as early as the development phase. The aim is to identify potential sources of error at an early stage and ensure stable processes in the subsequent manufacturing process. The testing systems are developed in advance in close cooperation between our research and development and software departments and integrated into the product development process.

Identify failures

Process control

Each stage of production is monitored using defined test plans to ensure that all specifications are strictly adhered to. Our manufacturing partners are directly involved in the control process and work to the same standards. Uniform work instructions, standardised processes and regular spot checks ensure consistently high product quality.

Creating transparency

Documentation

All quality-related processes and tests are systematically recorded to ensure transparency and traceability. Test results are stored in our central production database. In addition, quality assurance is documented using mandatory checklists. This comprehensive documentation significantly reduces the risk of faulty deliveries.

Optimise processes

Continuous improvement

Our quality management department conducts regular internal audits to ensure the effectiveness of our processes. In addition, we are audited by external inspection bodies to identify further potential for optimisation. Suppliers are evaluated by the purchasing department on the basis of clearly defined criteria. In the event of deviations, root cause analyses are carried out, processes are adjusted and, if necessary, retraining is arranged. Recurring failures are analysed in detail in order to develop sustainable measures for failure prevention.

Establish values

Quality awareness

A consistently high level of quality awareness and understanding is very important to us, both internally and in our cooperation with suppliers and manufacturing partners. That is why we conduct regular training courses to teach our employees how to use the testing systems correctly and to raise their awareness of the need to comply with our ISO-certified standards. Together with our partners, we strive to achieve a consistent culture of quality.

Structured flow of goods for rapid responsiveness

Guaranteed supply

Our purchasing is carried out entirely in-house and is managed by experienced buyers. Binding minimum stock levels and generous buffer stocks ensure continuous delivery capability. Finished products are kept in stock for up to three months, semi-finished products and critical components for up to 18 months. This enables us to guarantee high availability, short response times and the necessary flexibility to reliably compensate for market fluctuations.

Efficient material flow

On an efficient material flow, the timely fulfilment of customer orders is ensured. All components are scheduled in-house and delivered to the production lines at short intervals. Complete in-house control optimises warehouse organisation and makes us independent of external service providers. Strategically planned fixed and flexible storage locations ensure optimal use of space and fast access times. Seamless interfaces between logistics and production ensure short throughput times and high process flexibility.

Reliable delivery

Order picking, packaging and shipping are carried out internally and controlled by software. Our own production facilities, efficient warehousing and customised logistics ensure reliable and punctual delivery. A stock of finished products for at least one quarter enables us to process orders at short notice and respond flexibly to customer requests. Complete control over all processes minimises dependence on external service providers and ensures the highest quality, on-time delivery and rapid responsiveness to market changes.

Certified according to international standards

Our production operates at the highest level of quality and safety and complies with international standards in all relevant areas. Consistent adherence to standards, guidelines and international safety and explosion protection standards guarantees the tested quality of our products.
