Replacing light bulbs with LEDs in continuous operation
Our challenge was to develop suitable safety luminaires that can be used both in continuous operation and in emergencies and can be integrated in the same housing as the general luminaire.
Architectural
An architectural office in the Ländle region had a clear requirement for the interior fit-out: the emergency lighting had to be mounted on a pillar and must not protrude beyond it under any circumstances so as not to spoil the aesthetic appearance. Safety lighting was also required on the same concrete column. However, this would have required an intervention in the concrete wall, which was not permitted due to structural or static restrictions.
The architect’s clear ideas made an elegant solution possible: the emergency sign and safety light were integrated into a single aluminium housing and mounted on the pillar to match its size. By using the aluminium housing, the emergency sign and the emergency luminaire merged into a harmonious unit. The architects appreciated the efficient and direct cooperation with the special solutions department.
