The challenge
The aim of the conversion was to upgrade the existing emergency lights to modern, energy-efficient LED emergency lighting. Safety and modernisation were at the heart of this project. The challenge was to integrate the new luminaires into the existing cast-iron flush-mounted boxes without having to make any changes to the stucco wall in which the installation frames for the luminaires were mortised.
The solution
Our experts for customised solutions developed STRING ARC emergency signs with integrated safety lights based on the existing requirements. The lighting calculations provided proof of optimum illumination and a prototype on site provided certainty of a visually and technically appealing solution. Despite the restrictions in this listed building, a modern and energy-efficient escape route system was installed.
