Emergency escape route panel

This includes our emergency-powered escape route panel, which ensures that escape and evacuation plans remain clearly visible even during a power cut. This makes it easier for people to evacuate safely from rooms or buildings in an emergency. At the same time, the escape route panel serves as an important guide for emergency and rescue services at the place and facilitates the targeted implementation of rescue and evacuation measures.

Standard-compliant illumination for areas requiring emphasis

Acc. with EN 1838, escape and evacuation plans are regarded as areas requiring special emphasis and must be illuminated in such a way as to ensure they are clearly visible at all times. A vertical illumination of at least 5 lx is required in these areas. A backlit safety sign must have a luminance of at least 2 cd/m².

EN ISO 23601 takes a similar approach and additionally requires that escape and rescue plans be designed from photoluminescent material without any front or back lighting.

Illumination that helps you find your way

For backlit emergency signs, EN 1838:2025 specifies a minimum luminance of 2 cd/m². Our escape route panel achieves a minimum luminance of 200 cd/m² and, thanks to its uniform illumination, ensures particularly high visibility. This means that escape and evacuation plans can be identified more quickly, thereby facilitating safe orientation within the building.

Enhanced protection for continuous use

The sturdy acrylic glass is secured without screws using integrated magnetic strips. This protects evacuation and emergency plans from unauthorised access, theft and damage, and ensures they remain in perfect condition. Furthermore, plans can be replaced quickly and easily in the escape route panel.

Reliable care in an emergency

The escape route sign is powered directly by the emergency lighting system and therefore remains illuminated and clearly visible even in the event of a power cut. It is integrated into the existing circuit as an additional component, meaning that no separate or additional control unit is required.

Flexible replacement reduces time and costs

If escape routes or the layout of the building change, escape and evacuation plans can be replaced quickly and easily in the escape route panel. The updated plans can be printed on standard backlit film and fitted into the panel in no time at all. This ensures your plans remain up to date at all times, and adjustments can be made with minimal effort and cost-effectively.

Note: In accordance with TRVB 119 O, the preparation or commissioning of, as well as the ongoing updating of, escape and rescue plans are among the responsibilities of fire safety officers. The plans must always correspond to the layout of the premises and the current requirements (acc. to DIN ISO 23601). In practice, however, the plans are usually drawn up by specialist fire safety planning offices or specialist firms.
