DC Tower 1

The DC Towers designed by Dominique Perrault will have a decisive impact on the Viennese skyline. With its 250 meters, DC Tower 1 has not only been Austria’s highest building since autumn 2013, but also a fascinating, modern landmark of the town.

Impressive data about the project:

  • 60 floors
  • approx. 3.600 m² gross floor area above level 0
  • 20.000 tons of steel
  • 110.000 m³ concrete
  • Construction period: 2010-2013

Big projects require simple visualization

The DC Tower 1 is used as a multifunctional building (hotel, residential and office premises), which is frequented by several thousand people every day. din-Sicherheitstechnik supplied the emergency and safety lighting for the 250m building. The architecture required special versions of LED emergency luminaires. Special attention was also paid to monitoring the emergency lighting system, which is made simple and clear for all building tenants thanks to a visualisation program from din-Sicherheitstechnik.
