Good technology isn't always self-explanatory

Making technology understandable may sound simple at first. However, many people often fail to realise just how much technology and complexity lies behind our products. The truth is: our products are technically sophisticated and rarely self-explanatory. And this is precisely where our greatest challenge lies: explaining complex content in a way that is understandable to everyone who works with it on a daily basis.

We want to show that good solutions truly reveal their value when they are understood. A recent example of this is the NET function of our emergency lighting systems. This is a feature that allows emergency lighting systems, when connected to one another, to pass on safety-related information via a secure emergency lighting network. This reduces the amount of cabling required and significantly increases the overall safety level in buildings.

An important function whose value only becomes apparent when it is explained clearly. So that complex technology becomes clear and can actually be put to use.
