Safety light in patinated housing
For historical reasons, the existing luminaire housing could not be removed and adapted for this project. It was also not permitted to drill any additional holes.
Monument protection
Many buildings are listed – this sometimes makes flexibility and unrestricted processing difficult. The requirement for this project was that deep-beam emergency lighting was needed and that no additional holes or interventions in the masonry were permitted due to the listed building status.
A solution therefore had to be found that combined monument protection and modern emergency lighting without having to interfere with the historic masonry.
A solution with our EYE Pro was developed in collaboration with a lighting designer and our special luminaire construction department: 3 EYE Pro units were mounted at an angle of 5° on a white painted mounting plate facing outwards through the wire suspension of the existing spherical luminaire.
Ideally, the existing hole in the chandelier could be used, so there is now a fixture with integrated emergency lighting directly above the chandelier.
