Customised emergency lighting for sheltered housing
The challenge
The assisted living facility in Lustenau offers barrier-free and independent living with rustic charm. A compact surface-mounted luminaire as an emergency sign was required for the modern emergency lighting in the limited space. This should not only be aesthetically pleasing, but should also be able to be mounted on a wooden beam and have an integrated power supply.
The solution
The solution for this project was a custom-made aluminium casing, which was not only functionally, but also visually appealing integrated into the cosy ambience. The aluminium casing provided sufficient space to safely and discreetly accommodate the power supply for the rescue sign. In addition, special magnetic strips were used to hold the illuminated sign in place. The result was an elegant and space-saving custom solution that blends harmoniously into the architecture of the residential building.

Efficient lighting and safety at the same time
Initially, the plan was only to convert the general lighting to LED, but in the course of this it was realised that some of the general lighting was also used as emergency lighting. We were therefore able to use this opportunity to convert to modern safety luminaires.
