Safety lighting integrated in ball light
In this project, we were faced with the challenge of combining monument protection and modern emergency lighting without having to interfere with the historic walls.
Monument protection
For historical reasons, the existing luminaire housing could not be removed for this project. The cover plate of the luminaire housing is patinated bronze. This patination is an artificially produced oxidised layer of the base metal and is highly resistant to mechanical and chemical stresses.
The oxidised layer is subject to a natural ageing process from the outset, which tends to result in a slow darkening.
Two of our EYE-90 emergency luminaires were integrated into the luminaire housing. The choice fell in favour of the EYE-90 due to its outstanding features. This emergency luminaire impresses with its elegant design and consists of an almost invisible glass cylinder that blends seamlessly into any environment. As a result, not only stairwells but also other rooms are optimally illuminated without glare.
Thanks to its high performance and minimalist design, the EYE-90 creates a pleasant and safe atmosphere without compromising the overall aesthetic atmosphere without disturbing the overall aesthetic appearance.
