Safety light in patinated housing
For historical reasons, the existing luminaire housing could not be removed and adapted for this project. It was also not permitted to drill any additional holes.
Monument protection
The installation of emergency lighting for an exhibition room was planned in this listed building. In order to preserve the listed building and avoid structural changes to the brickwork without compromising the historical ambience, a standard-compliant escape route was to be realised.
As an additional safety measure, it was decided to install a guidance system with emergency signs in the floor.
In close cooperation with our local electrical partner, we developed a unique solution for integrating the emergency sign with power supply in the floor channel. A carpenter created a special recess in the floor channel in which the emergency sign could be optimally integrated.
A highly adhesive tape was applied around the emergency sign to ensure that the emergency sign was held securely in place. This resulted in a safe and standard-compliant solution that fulfils the client’s requirements.
