Monument protection
Safety lighting integrated in ball light
In this project, we were faced with the challenge of combining monument protection and modern emergency lighting without having to interfere with the historic walls.
Monument protection
This historic building in Vienna is guaranteed to have been a source of laughter for a long time, and that has nothing to do with the emergency lighting. Originally, the ceiling was fitted with outdated, emergency-supplied light bulbs. However, the decision to convert to modern LED luminaires presented a number of challenges. The lighting control of the existing luminaires no longer worked for the combination with emergency luminaires and the general lighting had to be separated from the emergency lighting. However, this turned out to be more difficult than expected, as the switching points for the lighting first had to be found.
Long-standing partnerships with electricians helped our din experts to quickly identify the problem. Thanks to a tip from a former business partner who had previously supervised this project, the changeover points were found and removed. The luminous panel was integrated into the existing hole and POWER SPOTS were also installed on the ceiling to brighten it up. The SPOTS were painted red to blend in perfectly with the architecture. This meant that modern light sources could be installed in the emergency lighting and perfectly integrated into the unique concept of the cabaret.
