Replacing light bulbs with LEDs in continuous operation
Our challenge was to develop suitable safety luminaires that can be used both in continuous operation and in emergencies and can be integrated in the same housing as the general luminaire.

When one thing leads to another: As part of the refurbishment work at the Landestheater, it was decided to convert the entire lighting to LED luminaires. Initially, it was only planned to convert the general lighting to LED, but in the course of this it was realised that some of these general luminaires were also used as emergency lighting. We were therefore able to convert the emergency lighting integrated into the general lighting to energy-saving and low-maintenance emergency luminaires.
To ensure that the integration of the solution fits perfectly and functions optimally, precise measurements were taken on site. The conventional light bulbs were replaced with modern and efficient LED emergency luminaires. Special metal brackets in the housing ensure that the LED emergency luminaires are held in place.
In order to achieve glare-free and uniform illumination, we carefully placed a frosted Plexiglas panel in front of the luminaire. This not only minimised glare, but also created a pleasant lighting environment.
