Monument protection
Due to the stucco ceiling, it was not possible to integrate the safety lighting directly into the building ceiling for this project, nor was this permitted for reasons of monument protection. An alternative solution therefore had to be found. The imposing crystal chandelier in the auditorium was dismantled during the refurbishment and ultimately offered us the opportunity to integrate our safety lighting invisibly. The chandelier was restored by a renowned chandelier construction company, which carefully dismantled and restored it.
In order to be able to integrate the safety lighting, we carried out a comprehensive lighting calculation to ensure that the radiation complied with the standards and that there was sufficient light. A specially manufactured bracket was produced by the chandelier manufacturer and finished with a brass coating. Taking into account the specifications of our experts, 6 of the EYE-90 safety lights were installed directly at the chandelier manufacturer. Finally, the crystal chandelier was gilded with gold leaf to give it its original lustre. Since then, visitors have not only admired the well-staged plays, but also the splendour of the hall.
Not emergency light
For event venues, anti-panic lighting with an illumination of at least 0.5 lux is required by law. This ensures that it never gets darker than the limit value in this area. This is not normally a problem. Unless there is no roof or ceiling and the anti-panic lighting is exposed to the weather - as is the case with the Seebühne in Bregenz.
Technology
Special requirements were placed on the emergency lighting in a pressurised room at an industrial plant in Tyrol. To prevent contamination in this sensitive production area, there is a higher air pressure indoors than outdoors.
