Innovative solution for narrow door areas
There was simply not enough space for a size 1 escape sign with dimensions x and a viewing distance of 10 metres. The STRING 1 escape sign was therefore reduced to a height of 50 mm.

Flush emergency sign with ball impact protection
The challenge
In schools in particular, gymnasiums are often fitted with ball-proof equipment to prevent damage from flying balls and to protect the facilities.
When equipping this school in the Ländle region, the architect clearly wanted to design an emergency sign that was both ball-proof and attractive.
The solution
A STRING ARC emergency sign luminaire was installed with a Plexiglas cover, flush with the wall and rimless to prevent balls from being thrown. The approval and implementation of the project proved to be time-consuming, as the sampling went through several instances before it could finally be approved and realised. Since then, nobody in this gymnasium has had to worry about damaging anything in the event of a sharp shot – at least not the emergency lighting.

The challenge was to integrate separate emergency lighting into the existing general lighting without changing the structure of the building. In addition, the new luminaires had to be adapted so that they did not cast shadows on the light distribution of the existing lighting.
