Restoration of Cuneo
The building was designed by Giovenale Boetto in the 17th century. It has a neoclassical facade and the interior is adorned with stucco work and Baroque frescoes. The cathedral has been restored in a way that preserves its historical heritage while improving its energy efficiency. The aim was to strengthen the symbolic role of the cathedral within the urban context while improving its usability.
The new LED lighting improves visibility within the rooms and enables a reduction in energy consumption as well as maintenance costs. Our emergency lighting solution consists of highly efficient FLAP safety luminaires, which are installed at a few strategically important points. The system is complemented by the emergency exit signs from the STRING 1 product family, which are characterised by a simple design and pictograms with crystal-clear frames, blending elegantly into the overall look.
This design approach, developed specifically for this building, has gradually become established and has also been applied to numerous other restoration projects. The result is a balance between lighting efficiency, surface protection and the preservation of historical features, with minimal visual impact.
