Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH, Planai

The Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH is the largest mountain railway and leisure group in Styria, or in other words the fifth largest sector enterprise in Austria. With up to 410 employees (230 of them employed all year round), Planai is the largest company in the Upper Ennstal Valley. The numbers behind this are large: Since 1995 only, investments amounting to approx.. €200 million have been made, around 700 snow cannons, 31 cableways and ski lifts ensure great fun on the slopes.
We are proud that we have been partner of the Planai Railways in terms of emergency lighting since 2008. Since in Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH, just like in din-Sicherheitstechnik, Austrian added value and a high level of technical safety are required, a cooperation was logical for both sides. Since then emergency lighting systems have been installed in various lift stations, parking garages and service centers. In total there are 23 of our emergency lighting systems in the skiing region and around 1100 light spots are installed.

A luminaire series for all applications

Due to the versatility of the CONCEPT-luminaire series concerning mounting type, illumination, recognition range and weather protection, it can be used in almost all areas. This has also the advantage for the Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH that ordering spare parts is significantly easier, as there is only one luminaire series, which has been available for over 10 years and the availability for spare parts is guaranteed for a long time to come.
