Design and function in harmony

VISTA OSTUNI

The Vista Ostuni is an exclusive five-star hotel in the Italian region of Apulia that combines historical elements with contemporary architecture. The project is based on the restoration of a 14th-century building which, over the centuries, has served various purposes, from a monastery and hospital to a tobacco factory. Today, the resort offers sweeping views of Ostuni, the surrounding olive groves and the sea. Natural materials, craftsmanship and generous windows create a harmonious transition between architecture and landscape.

EMERGENCY LIGHTING – FUNCTIONALITY MEETS DESIGN

As part of the LEED certification, particular emphasis was placed on the building’s sustainability and technical specifications. The emergency lighting system was also planned and designed accordingly. A range of emergency lighting solutions were used, such as the STRING 1 emergency sign luminaire, ECO-Spots and the TUBE 264. They feature a simple design that supports their technical functionality and blends elegantly into the hotel’s sophisticated architecture. The emergency lighting thus fulfils two purposes: it ensures reliable wayfinding within the building whilst also meeting the exclusive architectural standards of the Vista Ostuni.
