Dancing on over 600 m² parquet flooring
The property of the new dancing school Schwebach measures 2.400 m², the building itself covers a total of 1.500 m2. This makes the dancing school Schwebach the largest in Austria.
During the construction of the new school, special attention was paid to a resource saving way of construction with multifunctional rooms.
The low-energy building in Vienna covers several levels. In addition to the dancing school on the ground floor and upper floor, the three-story-building accommodates also two residential units in the attic. A cosy dance café forms the heart of the new dancing school. As supporters of the public interest economy, many approaches for improvement were considered. Whether small measures like the use of recycling paper, as well as the conversion to LED luminaires. The choice of the emergency lighting system was also based on resource-saving and efficient technology. Thanks to the use of din-LED-luminaires, energy savings of 87% can be obtained compared to conventional solutions.
On the ground floor of the dancing school there is a hall, where dance lessons normally take place. For teaching purposes, one escape route is sufficient to comply with fire protection and emergency lighting requirements. But the same room is also used for the events in the house (e.g. balls, lectures and company events). Since event regulations require an additional parallel escape route for 100 people and more, closing the dividing wall activates the event mode and thus the emergency luminaire over the escape route.
