Kitzmantelfabrik Vorchdorf

The Kitzmantelfabrik in Vorchdorf was once a shoe and leather factory that was around 100 years old. Today, the listed factory building is a centre for culture, events and regional encounters. Its characteristic interior architecture with exposed brickwork, steel beams and high hall roof offers a unique ambience.

Since 2019, the Kitzmantelfabrik has also held the ‘Green Location’ seal of approval and the title of ‘Climate Alliance Business’, making it one of the pioneers in Upper Austria. Ecological sustainability, multifunctionality and regionality were already emphasised during the conversion. The technical equipment also fulfils these requirements.

As a green location, we take care to conserve resources, which is why we replaced the emergency exit lighting with LEDs. Furthermore, the replacement saves energy and, seen over a longer period of time, means lower material costs.

Sustainable by conviction - our contribution

As part of a building extension, around 60 emergency lights were given a comprehensive upgrade. By switching to LED, the LED replacement inserts significantly reduced power consumption, quintupled the service life of the lights and thus further expanded the focus on consistent resource conservation and energy efficiency.

In addition to the LED replacement inserts, our CONCEPT 2, STRING, ECO SPOTS and SHAPE product families were also installed. The emergency lighting is supplied via the decentralised 24 V group battery system SU NET, which guarantees maximum supply reliability.

Conclusion: A future-proof, sustainable and visually appealing emergency lighting solution was realised for the Kitzmantelfabrik, which fits perfectly into the Green Location concept.
