Emergency lighting as a parliamentary guide
The Austrian Parliament is located on Vienna’s Ringstrasse in the first district and is a key pillar of Austria’s democratic government. The building is an impressive example of neoclassical architecture and represents the political centre as well as an important cultural monument of Austria. Since construction began in 1874, the building has undergone repeated architectural changes and has been renovated several times. When it comes to emergency lighting, however, the focus is on stability and durability.
Accordingly, countless emergency and safety luminaires from the proven and flexible CONCEPT luminaire series were installed throughout the building. In addition, numerous escape sign luminaires from the STRING-series in various mounting variants ensure a safe evacuation.
In some cases, escape routes may not be available for a limited period of time due to construction work, changes in building utilisation or even in hazardous situations. The escape route scenario switching (FSU) was realised in special areas to ensure that people can leave the building properly and efficiently at any time in these situations. Blocked emergency exits are reliably signalled by STRING 2 FSU luminaires with a blocking function, so that the correct escape route is automatically used. Dynamic adaptive escape route signs not only meet the highest technical standards, but also increase the effectiveness of emergency lighting systems.
