Where is there a subway in Austria? Most of us would immediately think of Vienna. However, the correct answer would be Vienna and Serfaus. The driverless, cable-operated aerial tramway has been transporting ski enthusiasts from the parking lot or hotel in the village to the mountain lifts in Serfaus since 1983.

In December 2023, the popular family ski and hiking area in the upper Inntal valley at 2,828 meters above sea level was expanded to include the 10EUB Komperdellbahn including a ski depot for 5,000 parking spaces. Safety must not be neglected in the well-known family ski area, considering that the lift transports up to 3,000 people per hour. Specially developed gondolas from Doppelmayr and ingenious distribution of passenger flows in the valley station area aim to increase ride comfort and safety.

Safety during operation 24-7

The cable car company Serfaus Komperdell GmbH has known and trusted our products for a long time. Many different luminaire lines have been used, depending on the requirements of the areas of application. The cable car company enjoys having its din contact partners close by (branch in Pfunds) and therefore also receives immediate assistance during ongoing operation and annual servicing. This means that nothing stands in the way of smooth operation of the emergency lighting, even during evening events or the sunrise special.
