Who we are

We begin our company history with a complete focus on emergency lighting. Dietmar Nocker, our founder, distributes emergency lighting from the CEAG/ABB Group.

Dietmar Nocker is convinced that the emergency lighting market in Austria has a promising future and is investing in it.

din-Dietmar Nocker Sicherheitstechnik GmbH is founded and sells products from CEAG GmbH.

Establishment of the subsidiary din-Facility Management GmbH – we develop and produce emergency lighting ourselves for the first time.

We are proud to be the first supplier of emergency lighting with high-performance white LEDs – what is now standard practice was a bold, innovative step at the time.

We have been ISO-certified for the first time: 9001/14001 Environmental and Quality Management – the certificate for environmentally conscious and sustainable business practices.

The first subsidiary, din-Dietmar Nocker Sicherheitstechnik d.o.o., is established and we move into an office in Maribor.

With our new subsidiary, we are focusing on special lighting solutions for transport infrastructure and are proud to be a framework agreement partner of ÖBB and a Q1 supplier to Deutsche Bahn.

We are developing a decentralised group battery system called SU (supply unit) based on 24V technology.

The visionLAB concept is being implemented for the first time in Linz. Space is being created to impart specialist knowledge, bring emergency lighting to life and connect experts in the industry.

The first visionLAB outside the head office is opening in Ampass, near Innsbruck and thus in the centre of Tyrol.

The company is growing. We are over 100 experts who focus purely on emergency lighting.

We are delighted to be expanding into southern Europe with the establishment of our subsidiary din-Italia S.r.l., based in Milan.

We cooperate with trading partners in Switzerland, Portugal, Denmark and the Czech Republic.

From an architectural perspective, emergency lighting can be a ‘necessary evil’ – but it doesn’t have to be. With STRING ARC, we have a solution that blends inconspicuously into the architecture.

Dietmar Nocker hands over management of the company to Christoph Nocker – we are now a second-generation family business.

FSU stands for escape route scenario switching: an emergency lighting system for directionally variable escape route guidance.

Our visionLAB in the east of Vienna in Seestadt Aspern is easily accessible by public transport and a good starting point for serving our customers.

With the new visionLAB in Sinabelkirchen, we are firmly rooted in the region and right on our customers’ doorstep.

We are launching a radio-based single battery lighting system on a standardised frequency band of 868 MHz.

We have developed and type-tested our first E30 system. This also marks the start of expanding our expertise in fire protection solutions for emergency lighting.

Din-Sigurnosna tehnika o.o.o., based in Zagreb, is established and will be dissolved again in 2023. Our customers will now be served by our trading partner in Croatia.

We are moving into a location in the Mühlviertel region, which will serve as a retreat for undisturbed thinking and as a contact point for customers from the surrounding area.

We are delighted with our location in Schlins, where we have placed great emphasis on sustainability and regional construction methods – as a timber building, it is a magnet for many architects.

Our team in Pinzgau moves into an office, thereby strengthening its local presence.

We are gaining new trading partners in Germany and Canada. The ETL certification mark confirms the impeccable quality of our products on the North American market.

We are opening our location in Loosdorf, halfway between Vienna and Linz, so that we can provide even more intensive support to our customers in the Waldviertel and Mostviertel regions.

We are founding the company din-Dietmar Nocker Sicherheitstechnik Deutschland GmbH with a location in Munich in order to better serve and expand our existing relationships in Germany.

We welcome trading partners in Slovakia and Hungary.

Our new building in the Liefering district of Salzburg offers 200 m² of customer space, plenty of room for personal interaction and the opportunity to experience the latest emergency lighting solutions.

We are delighted to have our own office in Pfunds, from where we can provide excellent support to the Tyrolean Oberland tourist region.

We develop our first explosion-proof luminaire and are proud that our production facility in Linz complies with ATEX quality management criteria.

We have been a large Austrian company since 2023 and now have over 300 employees in Austria, Germany, Italy and Slovenia.

We are proud to introduce the SU NG emergency lighting system, a decentralised PLC24 group battery system that incorporates innovative software solutions.

We are moving into an office in Bruck an der Mur so that we can provide even faster support to our customers in Upper Styria.
